Eight-keyed flute in African Blackwood, engraved and hallmarked

This flute is made in African Blackwood with sterling silver keys, tuning-slide and ferrules. The ferrules and end-cap (at the top end of the headjoint) are hand-engraved and hallmarked. The flute itself is modelled after a Rudall & Rose but it has a larger bore and bigger tone-holes and the pad cups are like those found on a Pratten's Perfected flute. With those improvements, players, even those learning, remark on how easy it is to play and this is true of all the flutes made in the workshop.
The same flute can also be made with slightly smaller tone-holes, thus reducing the stretch needed. This helps players with smaller hands.
